Thank you to everyone who came out to support GCS and our community last night. We had a blast! Our praise teams caroled on the Square, the cheerleaders walked in the parade and we had a great turnout of students join us on our Radio Flyer wagon.

Third grade is covering motion and force in science.
They completed a lab where they were to build a ramp at three different heights. Students used a stopwatch to time their cars and then calculated the speed.

We've sponsored a tree in this year's Festival of Trees. Our theme is "Soaring through the woods". Check it out this weekend and even have a chance to win it. Proceeds will go to fund a Morrow County ice skating rink! Event schedule is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1046013029887971!

A team that prays together, stays together

Today is Giving Tuesday! Please think of GCS when making your end of year charitable donations. There are two ways to do this 1) make a donation directly to GCS by going to https://www.gileadchristianschool.org/page/support OR 2) donate to scholarships at Ohio’s Scholarship Granting Organization at www.ohiocen.org and selecting our school from the dropdown. Either way you're helping our school and its students excel for another year!

Yesterday, first grade kicking off the Christmas season with gingerbread day! They spent the day doing gingerbread themed activities like word building, writing stories and building gingerbread houses!

When God created the universe, He created the physical laws that govern it. By understanding these laws we can use what He created to serve others to His glory. Here Chemistry students complete a series of reactions to show the transfer of one element to a new compound.

Last week, Ms.Staton's class had their first annual Thanksgiving balloon parade. The class read the book, "Balloons Over Broadway" which explained the origins of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. They then watched old clips of the Macy's Day Parade. The students got right to work decorating their own balloons. To finalize the lesson, the class then paraded around the school with their balloons.

Lots of exciting things are happening this week! Check them out and then join us in the fun. Also, consider us when doing your charitable giving this Giving Tuesday. https://www.gileadchristianschool.org/page/support
