During 6th grade homeroom, when band members are away, there are no limits to the activities we do to pass the time. Friday, it was an Encyclopedia Scavenger Hunt! While we were at it, two of our ladies took the initiative to do some dusting.
Mankind was created in the image of God, and we show different attributes in different ways. Robotics is about using teamwork to solve a challenge. Sometimes a force diagram helps explain the motion you are experiencing an d make changes to get the motion you want.
5th Graders represented OSU and Michigan during a special dress-up day this week!
This week, first graders packed shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. When they finished, they prayed that the boxes would reach the children who needed them safely. They worked hard and were excited to share God's love with kids in need this way!

Today, South Campus packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.
Kindergarten and first-grade students made handprint turkeys inspired by the illustrations in W. Nikola-Lisa's book, "Setting The Turkeys Free." Sixth-grade art helper Sydney Strother shared the book with Ms. Staton’s class.
Yesterday, a representative from Full Sail University visited the Theater class and taught them how to make stop-motion movies.
Reminder: Tomorrow (Nov 21st) is picture retake day for any K12 student who needs their picture retaken or if they were absent on picture day.
Our Alaska Mission Team is selling spirit blankets to keep you warm this winter! Blankets are 50"x60" and cost $16. Order forms are going home with students this week and must be returned with money by December 2nd. If you don't have a student at GCS and would like to order a blanket, please contact aleta.jones@gileadchristianschool.education. We will try our best to have orders in before Christmas.

On November 8th, GCS hosted several area schools for the OSA Honors Society Leadership Conference. Our OSA members not only learned about how to be excellent leaders but they displayed strong leadership qualities through hard work, service and commitment.

It takes teamwork to build a capable robot in the time allotted. Jan 4, 2025 may seem far away, but designs have to be prototyped and tested before they can be expected to perform in competition.
