The Athletic Life
The life of an athlete is no joke. With homework, projects, tests and quizzes, today's athletes feel the pressures of performing at their best at all times. At Gilead Christian, our athletes know to honor God in all they do, especially in the classroom. They are role models on and off the court. Athletes know their talent comes from Jesus so prayer is an important habit to do before each match/game.
Participation Requirements
In order for students to be eligible for extra-curricular activities they must meet the following requirements:
At least an overall “C” average and no “F’s” in any class (on quarterly report cards and/or midterms). If a student loses academic eligibility, the student will be ineligible until the start of the fifth school day of the next grading period.
The student cannot be a discipline problem in class or at school-related activities.
Leagues:
Gilead Christian is a member of the Independent Christian Schools of Ohio Athletic Conference (ICSO).
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Colossians 3:17
"I wanted to write to you about an event that took place this weekend at the track meet in Bucyrus. My m in the stands and collapsed. 911 was called and while we were waiting for the ambulance to arrive, my w children out of the stands so that they would not have to watch everything going on. All of them were cry upset. We have five children and she very clearly had her hands full. That was when the amazing thing h from your school (I have no idea if they were a staff member or just a parent) approached my wife and could help in any way. My wife was still not doing very well herself, the adult went over to the team ten and a large crowd of your students came over and asked if they could help and if they could pray with m children. My wife was truly impressed by what happened next, your students made a circle around them began to lead them all in prayer. They were extremely helpful in the situation and did more for my childr possibly describe. I would like to thank all of the students, staff, and parents that were at the track meet this weekend. I w know all this because I know that often we hear nothing about kids but the negative things and I know th only hear from parents about your students if there is a problem. I wanted to let you know that your mid team is made up of a wonderful group of children. Thank you"
